Dirty Cult’s Artists to Watch at SXSW 2016

SXSW is just around the corner. RSVP lists have been aggressively circulating on social media for a while and most of the major parties have already announced their lineups. There’s A LOT of great music this year, a truly wonderful time to be alive if you happen to be a person who is going to be in attendance. Hopefully this year will have a much different vibe from last year. I wasn’t able to partake because my old job pretty much held me hostage, but I heard that the overall mood was pretty lame. Aside from Miley Cyrus’ surprise performance at Fader, I didn’t really feel like I had missed much. Then again, I probably blocked most of it out because I was bitter that I wasn’t part of it.

This year, I found myself a gig with a pr/marketing firm and a tech company that are working together to host and produce an official SXSW showcase. I was told the announcement would come out this week, but I don’t know for sure when and I don’t want to get in trouble, so I’ll post more about that when I can. I’m also getting new glass for my camera so I can take some decent-looking photos while I’m out there. I can’t promise any written coverage, but you never know these days. I’m like really trying to get back into this thing. And because I am so excited about SXSW, I made a playlist of all the artists that I’m most excited about that are for sure for sure going to be playing some shows. A couple of these acts may or may not be in the event I’m working at. Check it out below!
